Poetry Journal

Submission Guidelines

* Submissions are now being read year-round.  Please submit your best poems here!

POETRY

1. All poetry submissions must be electronic (art/photos can be sent as attachments).  Poems must be pasted into the body of an email message.  The submission address is SandyB1070@msn.com.  Limit poetry submissions to 2-3 poems & prose to one page.  Use Georgia Font (if possible), 10-12.  Use single spacing for poetry.

2. Introduce yourself in a short bio.  Talk about anything you like, it's your spotlight!!  (NOTE:  Your bio is not the basis for my decision to publish or not publish your work.  I judge solely on the merit of your work & if it flows in Flutter's direction).

3. Simultaneous submissions are acceptable but will no longer consider previously published work.   Multiple submissions are not acceptable.  Please wait to hear after your first submission before submitting work again.

4. Any submission that fails to follow these guidelines will be overlooked.

5. If your work is not accepted, please do not take it personally.  This in no way means your poetry lacks creativity or luster.  Please do try again.  Practice makes perfect and all that.

6. Flutter acquires exclusive one-time online/electronic and print rights to publish prose and poetry and to maintain archives that contain current and previously published material. After publication, all rights revert to the author. If the work should be published in the future, I ask only for credit.

7. These guidelines are subject to revision.

8. Flutter is a non-paying poetry journal.
